In the heart of the Himalayas lies the small village of Kut, where a primary school has been waiting for several years to be completed.
The residents generously offered the land to the government so that their children could benefit from a school within the village. Construction began well and the walls of the building were erected, but funding stopped before the work was completed. For five years, this school has been left abandoned, without a roof, doors, windows, or classrooms.
Today, children aged nine and older must walk about 45 minutes, often on steep paths and in difficult weather conditions, to reach the school in the neighboring village.
At Velenia, we believe that a little help can have a lasting impact. Our goal is to fund the materials needed to complete this building so that the children of Kut can finally learn in their own village, in a safe and suitable environment.
The project will be carried out in collaboration with a trusted local partner, who knows the community well and will ensure the work is monitored on-site, with complete transparency. Once the building is completed, the school will be able to operate independently: the teachers are already employed and paid by the state. Our intervention simply aims to allow this school to finally open its doors.
By participating in this project, you are not just funding bricks, a roof, or windows. You are helping to provide an entire generation of children with closer access to education, more time to learn and play, and a future filled with new possibilities.
Together, let's bring this school to life and provide the children of Kut with a place to learn, grow, and build their future.
