In the heart of Madagascar, in the popular neighborhoods of Fianarantsoa and remote villages like Tanambao, a gentle yet determined energy is rising: that of the associationTanora Miara Miasa, driven by the bright commitment of Heri.For Vélénia, who works to create spaces of coherence, dignity, and elevation, this sister initiative resonates deeply: it embodies the same vision of a world where humanity regains its place, its value, and its ability to build a fairer future.
An association born to support, train, and restore hope
The associationTanora Miara Miasa("Youth Working Together") operates in areas where precariousness is a daily reality: lack of electricity, limited access to water, school dropout, absence of professional prospects. In the face of these realities, Heri and his team have chosen concrete, humble, but transformative action.
Their mission:
to offer vocational training to disadvantaged young women;
to support vulnerable families through essential donations (clothing, solar lamps, food, school supplies);
to renovate living and educational spaces;
to create spaces for learning, safety, and dignity for children.
The sewing workshop: a springboard for the autonomy of young women
Within theMaison Miara, a fully equipped sewing workshop welcomes young women from the Ankofafalahy neighborhood. Duringeight months of free training, they learn :
the making of useful accessories (reusable sanitary pads, washable diapers, bags, pouches) ;
alterations and the creation of clothing ;
the making of the traditional garmentMalabary ;
and, for some classes, the making of wedding dresses.
At the end of their training, they can join a partner professional workshop, generate a stable income, and become independent.A rare and valuable path to empowerment in these regions.
Tanambao: a village supported with love and consistency
Tanambao is a small village of five houses, thirty-five children, and extreme poverty. Since 2022, the association has been carrying out vital actions there :
distribution of warm clothing, toys, solar lamps, food ;
improvement of hygiene through access to drinking water ;
educational support for more than 80 children ;
renovation of a 150-year-old house that had become dangerous ;
construction of wells, a primary school, and renovation of an orphanage.
A particularly strong moment: the presentation of a photo album documenting three years of meetings. For many residents,it was the first time they saw themselves in a photo,a simple gesture, but profoundly human.
A reception center for children: learning, playing, growing up
In the Miara House, children participate in educational, creative, and playful activities. They find a safe, colorful space where they learn to read, play, and dream. A place that protects childhood in an environment where it is often put to the test.
Build, renovate, secure: concrete and sustainable actions
The association also carries out essential infrastructure projects:
well drilling;
construction of a 70 m² house;
renovation of schools and community centers;
material support for families;
creation of a professional production workshop.
Each action is designed tostrengthen local autonomy, improve living conditions, and offer a more stable future for children and families.
Why Vélénia supports Tanora Miara Miasa
